What Altrincham wiring is usually like
Altrincham runs from large Edwardian and Victorian villas in Bowdon and Hale down to 1930s semis in Timperley and new apartments around the town centre and Stamford Quarter. The big period houses tend to have been extended more than once, which means several generations of wiring in the same building, a modern kitchen circuit joined onto 1960s cabling somewhere in a loft. That is where the intermittent faults live. The newer flats are usually sound but often need extra circuits when someone adds a charger or a garden office.
